Fall 2025 Academy Division

Welcome to our Academy Division, for kids ages 6-18 interested in year-long, structured classical ballet classes, allowing dancers to progress through curriculum-based levels.

General guidelines based on age and experience are listed below to help give you reference, but these are simply averages. All levels aside from Level 1 are based on skill level. A placement class is to be taken before joining the class, to determine which Level the dancer best fits into. Advancement through the levels is based on advancement in skill level and meeting curricular objectives.

LEVEL 1

General registration guidelines: age 6+

LEVEL 1.5

General registration guidelines: age 7+ with at least one year experience

LEVEL 2/2.5

General registration guidelines: age 8+ with at least two years experience

LEVEL 3/3.5

General registration guidelines: age 10+ with at least 4 years experience

LEVEL 4/4.5

General registration guidelines: Age 12+

Academy Division Information:

Year-long commitment
Level placement is determined by demonstrated skill and knowledge of curricular objectives
Pre-Pointe and Pointe class add-on options
Eligibility to audition for the Kids Company and Junior Company
Eligible to perform in Act 1 and/or Act 2 of the Nutcracker
Paid for with monthly or yearly tuition options
